Outlook 2003 is a older calendar program. WE RECOMMEND GOING TO OUTLOOK 2007.

In order to use Outlook 2003 as a calendar sharing client, several organizations have created 2003 add-ons. One good program you can use is Remote Calendars.

RemoteCalendars works Read Only which will read in your subscribed calendars.

RemoteCalendars is an open source project that works perfectly with Outlook 2003 and enables full CalDav (1-way) subscription and refresh. It is a bit more complex to install, we don’t recommend it unless you like doing these kind of installations.

To Install Remote Calendars:

  • Download Remote Calendars.
    • Close Outlook 2003
    • Remote Calendars Requires the Microsoft .NET runtime to be installed.  The Remote Calendars plugin will take you to the site to download it or you can download it from Microsoft here.
    •  In the Prerequisites folder of your RemoteCalendar install, unpack the O2003PIA.EXE files and install O2003PIA.MSI.
    • Install vstor.exe, also in the Prerequisites folder
    • Install RemoteCalendarsVSTOSetup.msi from the main RemoteCalendar folder.
    • Restart Outlook 2003, You should now have a remote calendar bar in Outlook under the main Outlook bar.
  • When remote calendars is installed you need to click the "RC+" button to add a new subscription.  Paste this link in the "Remote Calendars UrL' field:
    • By default you will subscribe to the remote calendar in the currently selected Outlook calendar.  We recommend creating a new Outlook calendar and placing the subscription in that using the "Select Outlook Folder" select.
